AquaTerra plans £3 million investment in new base in Aberdeen

AquaTerra Solutions is set to invest nearly £3 million in the  next 12 months on a new custom built training centre and office space in Aberdeen.

Formed 5 years ago, the firm provide expert access and training solutions to professionals in the oil and gas industries. Since it’s formation the company have gone from strength to strength and now have an annual turnover of £8.5 million. They currently operate from Stoneywood, Dyce and the new move will see an expansion of facilities four times their current size and will  increase its staffing numbers by over 50%. The new 2.5 acre site at Midmill Industrial Estate, Kintore, contains 10,000 sq foot of training facilities and 5,000 sq foot of office space.

The announcement coincides with AquaTerra Solutions winning Employer of The Year at the Grampian Business Awards 2009.

The new space will allow the firm to expand it’s range of accredited courses. The training facilities at the new Aberdeen headquarters will include specially designed areas for simulating work-at-height, confined space and a comprehensive rigging loft and lifting frames. The new office will hold the company’s growing operations team.
