14 Pier Walk on the
Greenwich Peninsula development has been put on the market by Lend Lease Europe and Quintain Estates to the tune of £96 million.
The office block which is currently let to Transport for
London will hit the commercial property market with the hopes of making a 5.94% yield.
Offering 198,252 sq ft of desk space in the prime capital location of Greenwich, the rent at present is £5.8 million per year. This works out at approximately £29 per sq ft of office space.

King Sturge have announced that the final unit of office space available at the Whitehouse Business Park has been successfully let, rendering the business campus fully occupied.
The international property consultancy firm with over 210 offices worldwide has leased the office space on behalf of Tritax Assets LLP.
New tenants Eaga PLC will take up 40,000 sq ft of offices at the industrial unit to house their heating and renewables company, specialising in carbon services and managed services.

Putting a whole new meaning to the phrase “daily grind”, office workers in Swinton are anticipating an exciting new development at a converted mill thanks to a cash grant from the NWDA.
The Northwest Regional Development Agency has agreed to dip its hands into its pockets to offer a cash injection to the new office scheme at Newtown Mill in Swinton. The speculative office development will take £3 million worth of investment as it looks towards providing 125,000 sq ft of desk space.
Accompanied by their owner, Vanguard Holdings, the mill offices will receive a further £430,000 to reach completion.

King Sturge have secured an office lettings deal in the heart of
Glasgow at 93 Candleriggs in the Merchant City area.
Trade consortium Riggs 89-99 Ltd have signed a deal with the commercial property investors on behalf of Ellipsis Books Ltd.
The third floor office suite will be occupied by Ellipsis Books, who have signed a 10 year lease at the property with a five year break option. The total floor plan of their lease is 2,887 sq ft for an annual rent of £28,000, working out at an approximate rate of £9.70 per sq ft of work space.

A former General Post Office in the centre of historical
Edinburgh has been put on the market last week.
Administrator BDO Stoy Hayward is selling Waverley Gate, a 217,000 sq ft office space, for a sum of around £30 million.
Previously tenanted by computer giants Microsoft who took a landmark rent in 2008 at £31 per sq ft over 13,000 sq ft, there has been interest from the high street fashion chain H&M who have put in an offer for 16,500 sq ft to create a new customer service call centre.
The NHS have agreed to take a lease on 40,000 sq ft of desk space in the grand offices, while Creative Scotland is in negotiations to command 20,000 sq ft of
Edinburgh office space.

A central
London city office has been put on the market for £260 million as part of a £1 billion Square Mile
sale bonanza.
Savills are preparing for the sale of 10 Aldermanbury Square after receiving advice to sell the site from Commerz Real. Property Week have reported that the German fund management company felt the correct market conditions would enable a fair yield on the location. Should it reach its selling price, it is expected to garner a yield of 5.5% on closing.
The rent for the office space is pegged at £49 per sq ft to prospective tenants.

London has secured the first ‘Outstanding’ BREEAM rating to be awarded to a building in the capital, according to reports by Property Week.
It is also the first time the prestigious certification has been granted to a major office building in the

King Sturge have been named as the chosen company to market the Rising Bridge Business and Enterprise Village in Lancashire.
The new office development campus will be under the guidance of property services giant King Sturge, who will work in collaboration with Petty Chartered Surveyors to ensure the build secures lucrative tenancies. Units will be offered for
sale or lease with tenants able to move into the village on completion in summer 2010.
Rising Bridge is a £7 million project designed by ROK Limited and Lancashire Borough Council to create office blocks which will attract companies and stimulate the economy in the Rossendale area.
