New prestige office space in Sheffield (oops! Derbyshire)

Work is now well underway for the conversion of the fine range of traditional outbuildings to Hathersage Hall into a high quality rural business centre.

The corporate identity for Hathersage Hall Business Centre was unveiled a few days ago and the dedicated website www.hathersagebusiness.co.uk is now live and attracting the attention of the major search engines.

Supported by the Office space Derby serviced officesDerby & Derbyshire Economic Partnership,  Hathersage Hall Business Centre is being built on one of the few designated employment sites in the Hope Valley. When completed in mid-2009, the development will offer 14,000 sq ft of prestige office space for up to 15 high quality businesses, which are intended to bring
well-paid, service-based job opportunities to the local community.

Situated within the conservation area of the village, the construction of Hathersage Hall Business Centre is being seen as a landmark project in the restoration and conversion of old agricultural buildings into new use. The main contractor is local firm Graham Stuart Construction Ltd of Office space Sheffield serviced officesSheffield.

Considerable care is being taken to retain significant structural and aesthetic features of the original buildings, in co-operation with the conservation architect at the Peak District National Park.  “It’s very much a community-focused project” said Estate manager, Michael Shuttleworth: “… we are paying particular attention to landscaping to ensure that the new buildings complement and enhance their setting in the conservation area of the village. The offices will look out onto courtyard gardens and we are currently discussing management of the new orchard, which will be planted as part of the scheme, with the village allotment group.”

The site at the top of the main road through the village, originally a farm, was improved and rebuilt as the coach house and stables to Hathersage Hall in the 1840′s, reverting to a working farm in the 20th Century. It is now undergoing another metamorphosis to ensure its conservation well into the 21st Century and bringing new economic life to the heart of Hathersage.

Only one slight problem with this headline – Hathersage isn’t actually in Sheffield. It’s in Derbyshire.

You wouldn’t call Rotherham “Sheffield”, yet Hathersage is much further from Sheffield than Rotherham is.

There are enough unwelcome Sheffielders in Hathersage as it is, please don’t encourage any more.

    It has been amended, Paul.

Same thing though, isnt it? :-D

Now why would Mr Ashmore sa something like That? We Sheffielders hold Hathersage very dear to all our hearts and we come to wander around your lovely village and walk in your lovely countryside and for most of us we can only envy the people who live there. Those immigrants from Sheffield wouldn’t want to live there if we all loathed the place!
