Whiteboards for serviced office space users

Whiteboard revolutions don’t happen that often do they? Read on to see a great product for users of meeting rooms and serviced offices.
Meetings in office space environments happen all the time. Notes are taken of course by one or more attendees, usually on a piece of A4 paper or sometimes a flipchart. Regus for example, supplies both of these. There is also a whiteboard on the wall somewhere in 99% of meeting rooms from Avanta, MWB etc.
Now, taking notes back to the office to type them up is OK, but carrying the flip chart paper is cumbersome as I’m sure that some of you have experienced. What about the whiteboard? How do you take the information from a whiteboard that you have written and drawn during the meeting? I thought I was clever by taking photos with my Apple laptop, but then I found the magic whiteboard and its a real find for this reviewer!
I have some lengthy meetings in my day job and spend lots of time writing and drawing various shapes and diagrams on whiteboards in meeting rooms and client offices and then have to produce reports and proposals based upon the meetings. Sometime my meetings last for 5 or 6 hours so remembering everything that was said is very difficult indeed.
I was searching for ‘whiteboard wallpaper‘, as someone had mentioned that this kind of thing was available, which was when i found ‘magicwhiteboard’.
Basically, its sheets of whiteboard ‘paper’ that you can stick to walls by using just static. It comes on a roll with 20 sheets or so that can be re-used a number of time, making it a great idea for business meetings at serviced offices for example. You use it just like a normal whiteboard, but simply take it from the wall when you dont need it, and if you are located in another office or meeting room at the time, you can take it back to the office with you to make notes to write much better notes than you can do from memory alone.
This will change how I operate post-meeting now, and will greatly improve my proposal writing, helping me to get more contracts for my business because I will have everything I wrote at hand.
Its not very often that I can say that I am excited by a usually quite-dull object such as a whiteboard, but I thought that it should be shared with the office space community, because of the way that the readers of this site work.
* Since writing this article, I have found that the whiteboard rolls are now in various colours (red, blue, green, yellow and black) as well as the original plain and gridded versions.
You can see the ‘magicwhiteboard’ at www.magicwhiteboard.co.uk and it gets a 5-star rating from Choregus.
